DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Weller Counseling is an out-of-network provider. We do not accept insurance, but can provide you with a superbill receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards.
ARE YOU SEEING PEOPLE IN PERSON OR VIA TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS?
Telehealth and in-person sessions are available.
WHAT ARE YOUR COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS?
I follow current CDC recommendations related to Covid-19 safety. Although I am fully vaccinated, I respect each person’s autonomy related to the Covid-19 vaccine, and will therefore never inquire about your vaccination status. I am happy to answer any questions you have about ways to stay safe during our sessions together.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE FIRST SESSION?
During the first session, we will go over the paperwork you filled out, and discuss any questions you have for me. I will have questions for you, too! We will talk about what you’re hoping to gain from therapy, and ways to help you meet your goals.
IS IT NORMAL TO FEEL NERVOUS ABOUT STARTING THERAPY?
Absolutely! People often get nervous when they think about meeting with a therapist. It’s not easy to talk about struggles and uncomfortable feelings, and it’s even harder to talk about them with a stranger. Be assured that your therapist’s primary concern is to create a safe environment, so that you can explore your experiences and feelings freely, without fear of judgment.
HOW DO I TELL IF YOU’RE THE RIGHT THERAPIST FOR ME?
That is a great question! Having a connected relationship with your therapist is incredibly important, and my goal is make sure you sync up with someone who feels like a good fit. During our free phone consultation, you will probably have a gut feeling about how well we would work together. I encourage you to trust your gut! I also invite you to ask me any questions that will help you make an informed decision about your therapy experience.
